Volkswagen debuted the third member of the redesigned Beetle family at the 2012 Auto Show. The third Beetle is diesel powered and gets and EPA estimated 29 mpg city/39 mpg highway. The 2.0-liter I4 diesel engine relies on both turbocharging and direct injection to deliver 140 hp and 236 lb.-ft. of torque, while still meeting emissions standards in all states.
